The ASPA 2009 State Convention will be held Feb. 13-14 2009

The Alabama Scholastic Press Association's annual state convention features nationally-recognized journalism education speakers as well as area media professionals and UA faculty members. The convention welcomes hundreds of journalism teachers and students from across the state.

Convention delegates can participate in an on-site competition with categories ranging from newswriting to graphic design. They may attend any of the more than 30 sessions in newspaper, literary magazine, yearbook, broadcast, marketing, advising, photography and desktop publishing.

Winners of the critique and judging services are announced at the conclusion of the convention.
